Suddenly September.

Butterfly on Mexican Sunflower.

And here we are, entering the "ber" months already. Even though cooler weather is on the horizon for many areas, here in the deep south, we are having record breaking heat with temps around 100. Eventually, we might get some fall temps, but not yet.

I wanted to share some more of my pine needle baskets that I made over the summer. This is my latest one that I made using a poker chip for the center. I drilled tiny holes around the edge and it worked out great.

This is a bee themed basket.

This peacock basket was specially made as a gift for the
people that make the wooden centers for me.

I made this mountain themed one for my good friend's birthday.
She and her husband like to go camping. Some people have commented that
they think this is my best one so far.

And I challenged myself to make this mini basket which came out so cute

It was a very extra hot summer, so staying indoors and keeping busy was a challenge. I alternated between making baskets, playing video games and binge watching TV shows. School started on Aug 12 here and I decided to go back to subbing, but only at one school. My good friend got a cafeteria manager job at a brand new elementary school. The kitchen is big and shiny and everything works as it should. She has a nice crew and it's a pleasure to work there. Hubby is back to his crossing guard job, so we're back on a regular routine again.

Manny and Zoey are doing well, although Zoey is really showing her age now. She had some urinary leaking going on and she's on medication for that now, bless her heart. Manny is still a crazy cat, craving attention at all times.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Have a great September and hopefully some crispier air will arrive soon along with pumpkins, hay bales and corn stalks.

And a special "I see you" to you. 👀
Yes, you.
